Anibar is looking for artists and/or designers! For our project “Cultural heritage as an artform – Promoting cultural heritage in Peja”, we are planning to design a coloring book which illustrates the long history and wealth of Kinema Jusuf Gërvalla over the years. To do this, we are looking for an illustrator, artist and/or graphic designer who will be able to design and illustrate this coloring book.

The “Cultural heritage as an artform” aim:

Anibar’s project “Cultural heritage as an artform – Promoting cultural heritage in Peja” serves to raise awareness and promote local cultural heritage sites, like Kinema Jusuf Gërvalla and other important historic places in Peja, to different communities living in Kosovo. Through artistic activities and educational programs, the project aims to increasing visibility of cultural heritage sites in the Peja region through artistic interventions and education while engaging young people and children of different ethnic backgrounds living in this region. This project “Cultural heritage as an artform – Promoting cultural heritage in Peja” is part of the financial grant “Cultural Heritage as a Driver for Intercommunity Dialogue and Social Cohesion” project implemented by UNDP Kosovo and funded by the European Union’s Instrument contributing to Stability and Peace (IcSP).

The Coloring Book “Kinema Jusuf Gërvalla” purpose:

Within “Cultural heritage as an artform – Promoting cultural heritage in Peja”, a few activities and interventions will take place at the Kinema Jusuf Gërvalla, including other heritage sites. Second, as part of the Study Visit activity, we will have school children visit the cinema for a guided tour into the history of the cinema and exhibition. By the end of the tour, Anibar will distribute coloring books to these children, to make their experience even more impressive and educational. The book will be distributed to around 1500 children through different project activities and interaction with the children.
