Pitch It!

We are thrilled to announce a Pitching Competition!

Since its foundation, Anibar strives to help develop the medium of animation in Kosovo and facilitate the production of animated shorts of our talented community.

We are thrilled to announce a Pitching Competition for professionals, and young artists who wish to develop their idea into an animated project!

This exciting event offers a platform for animators who wish to present their projects, captivate audiences, and engage with potential collaborators and investors.

The call will stay open until 14th of July. The Competition will take place during the 14th edition of Anibar Animation Festival, in Peja.

We encourage all the animation enthusiasts who wish to push their ideas forward, to not miss this opportunity1

Who can apply?

We welcome submissions from both established professionals and emerging talents, embracing diversity in style, genre, and storytelling coming from Kosovo.

What now?

First step: Read this document thoroughly, and submit your application with the information specified in the call, as well as the supporting documents by 14th of July 2023!

Second step: After the submission of your application, you will receive information about the pre-selection phase if your submission files fill out all the requirements outlined in this document!

Third step: Pre-workshop – the selected applicants will be attending a 5 day workshop (17th – 21st of July) during the Anibar International Animation Festival in Peja, where they will prepare their presentations, as well as attend lectures on how to pitch their pitch.

Fourth step: PRESENTATION! – on the 22nd of July there will be the presentations of the projects which will be evaluated by three members of the jury coming out from the region and Kosovo. The first three places will be awarded at the closing ceremony of the festival on the 23rd of July!

Awards?

🥇1st place will be awarded the monetary price of 1,000 Euro as support for the development of the animated project.

🥈2nd place will be awarded the mentorship of a professional animator from the region for the development of the animated project.

🥉3rd place will be awarded the full support of Anibar festival in terms of information, mentorship, resources, equipment support, etc for the development of the animation project.

This activity is implemented with the support of “SMART Balkans – Civil Society for Shared Society in the Western Balkans” regional project implemented by Centar za promociju civilnog društva (CPCD), Center for Research and Policy Making (CRPM) and Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM) and financially supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (NMFA).
