Passionate about human rights? Don’t miss this opportunity to engage in a meaningful conversation with our guests Arber Nuhiu, Bjeshkë Guri, and Dan Sokoli, who will join us to discuss thought-provoking questions, such as the challenges encountered by the LGBTIQA+ community, steps to ensure equal rights, and the factors influencing legal reforms.

On the second day of this year’s festival edition, we want to better understand the challenges and progress on the path to equality for the LGBTIQA+ community in Kosovo. The insightful panel discussion, titled “Strengthening Legal Protections: The Road to Same-Sex Marriage in Kosovo,” will take place on July 18th at the Art Gallery in Peja, starting at 5 p.m.

This discussion aims to address the obstacles faced by the LGBTIQA+ community and explore the necessary steps to ensure their basic rights and equal treatment in Kosovo. One key focus will be analyzing the factors that led to the recent setback in recognizing and protecting same-sex marriages through the new civil code.

By participating in this discussion, you contribute in creating a path where the unknown social topics can be discussed from different perspectives.
