Lori Malépart-Traversy joins this edition to make the world laugh again

Lori Malépart-Traversy (The Clitoris) will be giving us advice on the creative process of animation.

Lori Malépart-Traversy will join this year’s edition with a virtual presentation where she will share with you very useful details about her creative approach to animation. A presentation that grants you a first seat into the beginnings of her journey as an animation film director. Her journey started with her graduation short film “The Clitoris”, to move along into the succession of her work as a renowned animation film director. 

“The Clitoris” (2016) deals with the theme of female masturbation and sensuality. It attained a high level of success, being screened at festivals all around the world. The main reason behind the success of her work was exactly the themes Lori’s work represents. The main goal is, to tell the truth, educate and hopefully inspire you to take action in continuing to break taboos around sexuality. Her direct involvement in the topics of female empowerment, sexual assault as well as female sensuality invites for a large conversation, and this is your chance to be a part of it! 

Currently, she is working on a new film project at the National Film Board of Canada. Join us in this enticing presentation to learn more about the craft of animation and listen to an authentic journey, while also learning tips and tricks along the way!
