In this hands-on session, participants will gain practical skills in crafting puppets specifically designed for stop-motion animation. From understanding the basics of puppet animation to creating their own short animated video clips, this workshop offers a comprehensive learning experience. Through a series of engaging activities, participants will explore the fundamentals of animation and unleash their creativity by making storyboards and developing and sketching unique characters.

After making props and creating the set, they will embark on the exciting process of animating their characters.

The workshop culminates in filming their animations and putting the finishing touches on their puppets and sets. By the end of this engaging workshop, participants will have gained valuable skills in puppet-making, storytelling, and stop-motion animation, and will have their unique short films to showcase their creative talents.

Alma Mimica holds a BA in Animated Film and New Media from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and has learned puppet making at the University of Volda in Norway. While having a passion for combining different animation techniques, stop-motion has always held the dearest place in their heart. Besides animation has worked also as a set designer and puppet maker.
