Tales of Isolation

Interviews with Anibar visitors about their experience with isolation. Part 1

In “Tales of Isolation” we ask visitors to share with us their experience with isolation.

Liri Kuçi, a 27-year-old from Tirana, as well as a visitor of Anibar International Animation Festival, is happy to be part of the festival for the first time this year.

“I am really glad to be here, especially with so many interesting creations in the Animation Festival, which give a political contribution not only to activism, but to human rights and certain social causes.”

According to her, the pandemic has increased our experience with isolation, and unfortunately has made us feel alone and unmotivated. The silver lining to this is that isolation has emphasized the need for collectivity and unity.

“I believe that one of humans greatest pleasures is being able to share experiences and feelings with other people.”

In conclusion, according to Liri, isolation is a really complex phenomenon that has impaired people all over the world, but on the other hand it has reminded us to appreciate social life and human interactions.
