Day Five of Anibar 15 marks the conclusion of three workshops: What did young participants learn about animation?

The Anibar International Animation Festival 2024 is pleased to announce the successful completion of three workshops on Friday

As part of the festival’s extensive program that includes a total of six workshops. Participants from around the world had the opportunity to learn and collaborate in creative and educational activities in the field of animation and digital art.

Mastering Video-Mapping Techniques

The five-day workshop “Mastering Video-Mapping Techniques” started on Monday and concluded on Friday. Participants were guided through the collaborative creation of a video mapping piece, covering a complete project workflow. This included rapid presentations of references and case studies, a demonstration of the Millumin video mapping software, and discussions on template creation techniques. The workshop culminated in the projection of the final piece created by the participants. This workshop was led by Jules Camille Huvig, who holds a degree in computer-generated imagery and began his career as a visual artist with the Nie Wiem theater company, creating digital scenography. He has comprehensive knowledge of the production chain, from location scouting to writing, from production to events. Jules has also participated in audiovisual performances with pianist and composer Géraldine Kwik and conducts training courses and video mapping workshops internationally.

StoryWalks2

The three-day workshop “StoryWalks2” began on Wednesday and concluded on Friday. This dynamic and enjoyable workshop was a collaboration between LCC DPS animation students and young animators in Kosovo. It combined spontaneous storytelling with character design, collage, performance, and augmented reality (AR) animation. Participants explored their surroundings and associative psychogeography through creative and fun methods. This workshop was led by Daniel Saul and Izzy Barszcz. Daniel Saul is a filmmaker whose work is rooted in painting and animation. He has worked as a documentary filmmaker, exhibition curator, theater maker, and leader of large-scale community arts projects. Izzy Barszcz is a London-based animation director working on a variety of projects, including short films, video projections, music videos, commercial and educational content. She graduated from the National Film and Television School with the film “Many Faces of Ava” and currently teaches at the University of the Arts in London.

Stop-Trik Piknik

The two-day workshop “Stop-Trik Piknik” started on Thursday and concluded on Friday. This immersive program was designed for children aged 11-14 with an interest in animation. It included a mix of games and learning experiences focused on the art of pixelation, a simple yet captivating form of animation. Each participant had the opportunity to create their own short film, expressing their creativity through art. This workshop was led by Milos Tomic, an award-winning filmmaker at festivals worldwide. He studied film directing in Belgrade, completed his master’s and PhD studies in multimedia animation in Prague, and has created over 60 diverse short videos and animated works. Milos has participated in numerous festivals and collaborated on various external projects.
