On Saturday, the sixth day of the International Animation Film Festival, Anibar 2024, the final three workshops concluded, bringing a wealth of experience and creativity to their participants.

Workshop: Comic Fanzine – Marko Dješka

The first workshop, Comic Fanzine, began on Tuesday and lasted for five days. Led by Marko Dješka, a renowned animator and artist from Zagreb, participants explored the process of creating a DIY (do-it-yourself) comic fanzine. They designed and printed original comic publications at a local print studio. The experiences and knowledge gained from this workshop will remain valuable for all who participated, providing a solid foundation for their future endeavors in animation and independent publishing.

Workshop: PaperCut Music Video – Djellza Bullaku

The second workshop, PaperCut Music Video, also started on Tuesday and continued for five days. Djellza Bullaku, a graphic designer and animation instructor from Pristina, led this workshop designed for children aged 8-11. Participants learned the basics of storytelling and animation techniques using paper cutouts to create a music video. The workshop stood out for its creative and fun atmosphere, giving children the opportunity to express their creativity and acquire new skills in animation.

Workshop: Hands – An Advanced Puppet Making and Stop-Motion Workshop – Thomas Volda

The third workshop, Hands, commenced on Tuesday and spanned five days. Thomas Volda, a multidisciplinary artist from the United Kingdom, led this advanced workshop on puppet-making and stop-motion animation. Participants learned to create professional silicone puppet hands and animate them in stop-frame sequences. By the end of the workshop, these sequences were compiled into a short animated film. This process provided participants with in-depth and specialized experience in stop-motion animation, elevating their skills to a new level.

The completion of these three workshops marked a significant moment in Anibar 2024, offering rich opportunities for learning and creativity for all participants. The festival continues to be a unique platform for the development and sharing of knowledge in the field of animation.
