Arba Hatashi is appointed as the new director of Anibar International Animation Festival

The Anibar association in its tenth year of a functioning organization has appointed Arba Hatashi as the festival director, a position previously held by Vullnet Sanaja, who will remain the organization’s executive director. Petrit Gora, will continue his work as the artistic director of the festival. Since October 2019 Arba has been the acting director of the Anibar Festival.

Arba has been engaged in the past six years actively in organizing Anibar, the only International Animation Festival in Kosovo. At the same time she has been engaged in transforming the only cinema in the city of Peja – Cinema Jusuf Gërvalla – into a multifunctional cultural center.

Throughout the years of her engagement Arba has had different roles in the organization. Including here program coordination, subtitling and translating of films, managing events, communications with the media and partners. She has also completed her studies in management information systems in Prishtina.

In an organizational level she has had the role of the program coordinator of the festival and has managed the Anibar Animation Academy.

The appointment of Arba as a festival director comes at a time when the organization is further developing as an important factor for cultural development of the city of Peja and the organization has concluded that Arba is the lead to follow for the next stage of festival development.
