Call for Cultural Residency at Anibar Organization
Location: Peja, Kosova
When: March – July 2026
Anibar is a non-formal organisation in Kosovo, established in 2010. This organisation of passionate activists encourages young people to express their worldviews and ideas through animation and to discuss important social subjects pertinent to the youth, young adults and wider community of Kosovo. Anibar develops and implements various cultural and educational programs, including: Anibar International Animation Festival, Peja Jazz Festival, Anibar Animation Academy and manages the cultural center and the only cinema in the city ‘Jusuf Gërvalla’ Cinema.
Within the framework of the “Fostering Sustainable Partnerships and Dialogue: Arts and Culture Collaboration between Kosovo and Serbia” project, Anibar (Peja) collaborates with NKSS (Belgrade) trying to foster more knowledge, connections and collaborations between the cultural and artistic scenes of Kosovo and Serbia.
Therefore we invite cultural workers, artists, and researchers from Serbia to apply for a cultural residency program in Kosovo, starting from March 2026.
Requirements:
– Availability for a three month residency in Peja in the timeframe between March 2026 to July 2026;
– Communication language: English;
Topics to be covered:
Residents will work alongside the Anibar team, engaging directly in the running and managing a multi-functional public space, organizing festivals and curating artistic programs while learning how non-formal animation education is developed and delivered.
Arrangements:
– Accommodation and travel expenses are covered;
– Weekly per diems;
– Working space is provided;
– A helping hand from the local volunteers.

Please submit your CV, motivation letter, and portfolio (this can include experience in the cultural field, writing, and completing articles/research, etc..) to [email protected] with the subject “Cultural Residency at Anibar”, the deadline is March 31, 2026 at 23:59.
All materials should be submitted in English, as proficiency in English is required for the application. Communication with mentors and collaborators will be conducted in English.
Selection process:
The project team will review all applications, and each candidate will be informed about whether they will move on to the second phase of the interview process (via email). Shortlisted candidates will then be contacted regarding the final selection.
