Workshop Description

Cave Theatre is a minor form inspired by prehistoric cave art, Javanese scroll theatre, and storytelling practices. Relying strongly on visual and musical arts, as well as a play of light and shadow, Cave Theatre invokes archetypal sensations and a ritualistic atmosphere, offering a possible method of analog animation. During a 5-days long research and creative process, participants will develop, design, and perform a medium-length cave theatre piece based on a traditional Albanian folk legend.

Cave Theatre represents a practice of a community theatre, inviting interested participants of all ages, from different backgrounds, with various skills and with a desire to be part of an exciting, funny and collective, creativ,e and zero-waste process.
