This film was commissioned by the Alasdair Gray Archive and Canongate Books in response to Chapter Twelve of Lanark by Alasdair Gray.
Using hand-stitched mixed-media animation, the film revisits a childhood moment: a boy lost in drawing, imagining a giant holding a captured princess. A quiet conversation with his father about the sky and gravity reveals the curiosity, confusion, and stillness of childhood.
