Anibar is on the lookout for the next generation of film critics đź‘€
We are currently accepting applications for a workshop on film criticism. This is a practical introduction to film journalism within the festival context. Participants will be invited to sharpen the cinephilic gaze, to discuss the theory and practice of film criticism and have their work published in the festival zine, magazine and website.
Participants will write under the editorial supervision of Amanda Barbour, an Australian film critic and president of Australia’s oldest online film journal, Senses of Cinema. The workshop will be held in English.
This is open to anyone 18 or older, interested in the serious and eclectic discussion of cinema, from anywhere in Kosovo, North Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro and Serbia. We’ll cover your transport and accommodation to come to Peja for a workshop on July 11 and attend the festival from July 12 to 18, 2026.
