In a desolate landscape, where nature seems more depleted than ever, a vast city awakens and, as it does every morning, springs into action to transform the scarce resources available into an industrial quantity of intoxicating drink, before diving into long night-time festivities. The whole city bustles, except for Mackenzie, a solitary and sensitive woman who, that morning, steps out of line as a hungry bear approaches the city.
