Co-Producing between France and the Western Balkans: Structuring, Supporting and Promoting Creation
Nine festivals in the Western Balkans will benefit from the program and will enable local creators to meet potential future partners.
Anibar International Animation Festival is thrilled to announce the launch of the project “Co-Producing between France and the Western Balkans: Structuring, Supporting, and Promoting Creation.” This French initiative, supported by the Fonds Equipe France program of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, is carried out by the six French Embassies and Institutes located in the Western Balkans.
Nine festivals in the Western Balkans will benefit from the program and will enable local creators to meet potential future partners.
Despite the signing of several co-production agreements between the Western Balkans and France, only a few have translated into concrete projects. This new project aims to bridge that gap by facilitating meetings between French producers and local directors and producers with films in development at regional festivals.
The project will enable participants to exchange information about their respective production systems and create long-term networking opportunities, thereby fostering collaboration and promoting creative endeavors. This initiative is a significant step towards strengthening the co-production landscape and supporting the dynamic and creative film industry in the region.
Objectives of the Project:
Facilitating Collaboration: Creating opportunities for French producers to meet and collaborate with local filmmakers in the Western Balkans.
Sharing Knowledge: Encouraging the exchange of information regarding production systems to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation.
Networking: Establishing long-term relationships that will benefit the film industries in both regions.
Anibar 2024 invites all interested parties to join this exciting initiative and contribute to the growth and success of the film industry in the Western Balkans and France.
