The third day of the Anibar 2024 festival in Peja continued with a series of activities including creative workshops, film screenings, and engaging discussions. Below is a summary of Wednesday's key events:

Workshops: Wednesday marked the continuation of several workshops that will run until Friday, including:

  • Mastering Video-Mapping Techniques with Jules Camille Huvig: From 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM at the former Bankkos, participants continued to develop their skills in video mapping techniques.
  • Comic Fanzine with Marko Dješka: At BoneVet Peja from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, participants continued to create and develop their comic fanzines.
  • Paper Cut Music Video with Djellza Bullaku: Also at BoneVet Peja from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, creative youth engaged in creating music videos using paper cut techniques.
  • Hands – An Advanced Puppet Making and Stop-Motion Workshop with Thomas Volda: At BoneVet Peja from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, this advanced workshop continued teaching puppet making and stop-motion animation techniques.
  • StoryWalks2 with Daniel Saul and Izzy Barszcz: At BoneVet Peja from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, this new workshop explored storytelling through walking and the environment.

Film Screenings: A rich selection of films was screened throughout the day at various venues and categories:

  • Young Audience Competition 2: From 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Jusuf Gërvalla Cinema, this segment included films like “Flower of a Thousand Colors” and “THE SWINEHERD,” captivating the young audience.
  • VR Program: An immersive experience all day from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Art Gallery, allowing visitors to explore the latest in virtual animation technology.
  • Masterclass by Olivier Catherin: From 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Jusuf Gërvalla Cinema, this masterclass offered valuable insights into animated short film production.
  • Presentation by Luce Grosjean: From 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Jusuf Gërvalla Cinema, this presentation included films like “Yuck!” and “Betty,” exploring various themes about men.
  • Human Rights Competition 2: From 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Jusuf Gërvalla Cinema, powerful films like “Little Birds” and “I Had Nothing” addressed important human rights issues.
  • Student Competition 2: From 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM at the lake cinema, promising students presented their works such as “BUNNYHOOD” and “Recordari.”
  • International Competition 2: From 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Cubes Cinema, films like “Our Uniform” and “The One Who Knows” showcased international talent.

Other Activities:

  • Coffee and Talks: Meet the Filmmakers: From 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Exit Bar, participants had the opportunity to converse with directors, creating a space for dialogue and networking.
  • Panel Discussion: Unpaid and Unseen: From 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Art Gallery, this session provided a platform for discussing important issues within the animation industry.
  • Get Together in collaboration with OSCE Kosovo: At 6:00 PM, a networking event with an open buffet reception was held for all festival guests at a location announced via email.
  • After-party: The day concluded with an after-party from 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM at the lake cinema, featuring performances by Paulete Lindacleva and Erleta Kadrija, offering festival guests a chance to relax and celebrate.
