Using Frederic Siegel’s shortfilm “TV or the Disturbance on Forest Hill Road” as an example, Noisy Neighbours will provide insights into their workflow and tools. They’ll walk you through the individual steps required to develop a sound design that best supports the film—from pre-production and the development of a sound concept, through Foley and voice recordings, to field recordings, sound editing, and the final mix. Thanks to their strong roots in animated film, they bring a broad understanding of individual workflows to the table. Each step of the process is specifically tailored to the film’s needs and carried out in close collaboration with the director.
Noisy Neighbors
Noisy Neighbors is an independent sound design collective that has been working on sound design for animated films in for the past eight years. It consists of alumni and faculty members from the Animation program at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. We value a non-hierarchical structure that enables direct workflows, flexibility, and collective learning.
