Lori Malépart-Traversy’s creative process and the journey of a clitoris across the world
During this virtual presentation, Lori will share some crunchy details of her creative approach, from her first attempts in animation to her famous short film The Clitoris (2016) as well as her current project at the National Film Board of Canada. Lori Malépart-Traversy (she/her) is an animation film director from Montreal, Canada. She
studied film animation and visual arts at Concordia University. Her animated short films (The
Clitoris, Sparky Ketchup, Extra Mushrooms) have been presented in many festivals throughout the past years. In 2016, Lori co-directed with Daniel Sterlin-Altman three short videos for a sexual assault awareness campaign commissioned by Concordia University. She also collaborated on other animated films as an assistant and inker. She is now working on a new film project on the theme of female masturbation at the National Film Board of Canada.
