On Tuesday, the Anibar 2024 festival in Peja continued the celebration of animated films with a series of exciting workshops, film screenings, and engaging discussions. Here is a summary of Tuesday’s activities, which concluded successfully:

Workshops: Tuesday marked the first day of several workshops that will continue until Friday. Participants embarked on their creative journeys under the guidance of renowned experts:

  • Mastering Video-Mapping Techniques with Jules Camille Huvig: Held from 9:00 to 17:30 at the former Bankkos, this workshop introduced participants to the art of video mapping, providing hands-on experience in creating visual spectacles.
  • Comic Fanzine with Marko Dješka: From 10:00 to 15:00 at BoneVet Peja, participants explored the world of comic fanzines, learning about concept creation, design, and publication.
  • Paper Cut Music Video with Djellza Bullaku: Also at BoneVet Peja from 10:00 to 15:00, young creatives delved into the enchanting world of stop-motion animation using paper cutouts.
  • Hands – An Advanced Puppet Making and Stop-Motion Workshop with Thomas Volda: Taking place from 10:00 to 16:00 at BoneVet Peja, this workshop taught advanced techniques in puppet making and animation.

Film Screenings: A diverse selection of films was shown at various venues and categories:

  • Young Audience Competition 1: From 10:00 to 11:00 at Jusuf Gërvalla Cinema, this segment included films like “Musica Quarantena,” “The Big Girl,” and “Night Market,” captivating the young audience with imaginative stories.
  • VR Program: An all-day immersive experience from 10:00 to 18:00 at the Art Gallery, allowing visitors to explore the latest in virtual animation.
  • Panorama Out of Competition 1: From 12:00 to 13:00 at Jusuf Gërvalla Cinema, films like “Hurikán” and “Antipolis” offered a glimpse into unique animated narratives.
  • Special Program: Monstruosas: This segment from 14:00 to 15:00 at Jusuf Gërvalla Cinema featured intriguing films like “Steakhouse” and “Bestia,” focusing on themes of monsters and surrealism.
  • Human Rights Competition 1: From 16:00 to 17:00 at Jusuf Gërvalla Cinema, powerful films like “COLD SOUP” and “GIGI” addressed important human rights issues.
  • International Competition 1: Taking place from 20:30 to 21:30 at the lakeside cinema, this category showcased films like “Zima” and “Father’s Letter,” highlighting international talent.
  • Student Competition 1: From 22:00 to 23:00 at Cubes Cinema, promising works by students like “HUMANITY” and “Diary Booth” emphasized new voices in animation.

Other Activities:

  • Coffee and Talks: Meet the Filmmakers: From 10:30 to 11:30 at Exit Bar, participants had the opportunity to converse with directors, creating a space for dialogue and networking.
  • Launching of the “Genesis” Project: At 18:00, in collaboration with the French Embassy in Kosovo, the exclusive event for the launch of the “Genesis” project was held in Peja. The event was graced by the presence of the French Ambassador to Kosovo, Olivier Guérot, who expressed great enthusiasm for the Embassy’s collaboration with the Anibar festival.

After-Party: The day concluded with an after-party from 23:00 to 02:00 at the lakeside cinema, featuring performances by The Milk Snatchers and ERAH, offering festival guests a chance to relax and celebrate.
