The purpose of this masterclass is to give guidance to the participants on how to listen to their intuitions and how to develop their artistic style. The tutor will give more information on her art work and how she gained 2 billion views on Giphy with her intuitive working method. She will also show how she developed her 2 minutes long short “Big Crunch” for Adultswim from scratch. She will present sketchbook pages, gifs, and storyboards and will talk about her passionate attraction to parallel universes. She says its best if u keep a sketchbook with you everyday that way you can do something fun everywhere you go but you will also be able to develop your artistic style step by step.
The tutor, Julia Farkas, (1980) is a Budapest-based animation director, character designer, GIF and AR filter maker. She studied animation and visual communication at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art And Design in Budapest. She is especially inspired by parallel universes and likes to fill her work with humor and abstract thinking, and she is also a teacher at MOME Budapest Animation department.
She also had famous clients such as : Warner Bros, Adults Swim, and MTV.
The masterclass will be held for two days on 15 and 16 of July.
