Within the framework of the special program of the 9th edition of Animated Film Festival-Anibar, we are introducing the presentation of Luce Grosjean, film producer from France, who will have a presentation on “The vision of women about sex in animation”.
The Cinema, the internet, the world has been covering of male vision of sex, performative, phallic, and obsessed with male desire.Happily, in the animation world, we have female directors who decided to explore the subject, document it, explore it and offer new representations of sex. In 2014 Luce Grosjean founded Sève Films, a distribution company destined to promote student films in animation festivals, but also young talent directors. In 2017, she associated with Miyu Productions to create Miyu Distribution, specialized in distribution in festivals and international sells. She is an active member of few organisations in the Animation industry as “Les Femmes s’animent”, the French “Women in Animation”. Grosejean, will also participate in the panel “Work towards Equality in the Film Industry”, which relates to these year’s topic of the festival, 50/50, aiming to make space for open discussion and the importance of raising awareness on gender inequality of the film industry. The panel where local producers will also be part of, will focus in identifying the existing gaps on gender inequality in the movie industry of Kosovo. Examining the main obstacles and the reasons for the limited presence of women in the film industry – despite their professional potential. Problems of inequality between women and men in key roles such as (directorship, scenario, production) and the decision-making structures in the film industry, will also be addressed during the panel discussion.
